Commitment from Us

BNP Paribas is committed to providing a workplace environment that offers staff the opportunity to be the best they can be. This is why equality of opportunity and a harassment free work environment is so important to BNP Paribas.

As an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer, we aim to ensure all existing employees (and potential employees) have fair and consistent access to opportunities at BNP Paribas. This means that employment is based on merit without discrimination. We employ people with the best competencies, qualifications and personal attributes to perform the job.

One on One Interview with HR and Business Unit

Once we have assessed your skills against the requirements of the position you may be invited to attend a one on one interview where you will be asked a series of questions related to the position for which you have applied. BNP Paribas follows a ‘behavioural’ interview process and you will be asked questions that require you to draw on past experiences from your employment history to demonstrate your suitability for the role.

Skills Testing

During the interview process, most roles will require you to undertake skills assessment. For most positions, this will include a personality profile but may include other assessment types as required.

Background Checking

We require a background check be undertaken for all permanent and fixed term employees. Typical background checks include the right to work in Australia, criminal and bankruptcy checks and qualification verification. In addition, a minimum of two employment references will be taken on every applicant as part of the recruitment process. All information gathered through these checks remains confidential.

For Contractors and Temporary staff, we require a criminal history and right to work check, as well as obtaining a minimum of one reference check. All information gathered through these checks remains confidential.
